Kirk Morris is a Designer with over 8 years of corporate experience and an additional 5 years of consulting. He couples engineering principles with design thinking. This helps to balance form and function while maintaining focus on the end user.
Prior to designing, Kirk received a BSc Industrial Engineering at the University of the West Indies, beginning his career in operations and maintenance at bp, and then joining IBM as a consultant. Driven by a passion for creativity while in a mainly technical career, he shifted his focus to design.
Returning to school full time, Kirk graduated from SCAD Savannah with MFA Industrial Design. His portfolio includes collaborative projects with Kids II, Levolor, Fossil, Remington as well as tutoring and facilitation experience. This along with active involvement in the school community helped transition Kirk into a design career.
Joining Target following a successful internship, he worked across various categories including: pet care, ornaments, decorative home and outdoor living. Kirk now contributes to the success of the product design and development team at Bradshaw Home across all items within the home cleaning landscape through balancing empathy for the end user with the needs of the business. He pays attention to detail while prioritizing critical design elements, and embracing collaborative knowledge transfer.
He is continuously looking for opportunities to expand his skill set through meaningful design challenges and cross disciplinary partnerships.
